Up in pangasius exports to Thailand

(pangasius-vietnam.com) Vietnamese pangasius exports to Thailand reached US$26.1 million through September 2013, up 71 percent from the same period of 2012, according to Vietnam Customs. Thailand was Vietnam’s second largest pangasius importer in ASEAN, after Singapore; but sales to this destination got the highest growth.

(vasep.com.vn) Two years ago, Vietnam cephalopod exports to the U.S. reported positive growth, even marked two or three digit growth in some months on par with the previous year. However, through August 2013, exports of the item to the market got the continuous reduction of 30.5 – 96 percent in each month over 2012. This is the deepest decline in the past 5 years.

Other companies in Vietnamese fishery industry are finding foreign investors before officially listing their shares on the stock exchange.
