Ninh Thuan: aquaculture- a new way for development

(vasep.com.vn) In 2014, aquaculture in Ninh Thuan reported high yields, for all kinds of products, from shrimp to marine fish. The province has intensively invested in infrastructure for shrimp rearing and hatcheries.

Export trend of Vietnam seafood to main markets

(vasep.com.vn) In first 9 months of 2014, Vietnam seafood was sold to 166 markets in the world. The U.S., EU. China, South Korea raised their proportion out of the country’s total seafood sales while exports to Japan and other markets contracted.

Reared shrimp production increases

(vasep.com.vn) According to Kien Giang Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, brackish water shrimp has been farmed on the area of 90,563 hectares. As the weather stayed favorable and diseases were well controlled, shrimp rearing had an upturn.

Seafood exports in 2014 may reach nearly US$ 8 billion

Ca Mau: seafood production upped in over 10% in 2014

(vasep.com.vn) According to Mr. Le Van Su, Director of Ca Mau provincial DARD, in 2014, total seafood production in the province will increase by 10.3% comparing to 2013, at the level of 490,000 MT, the highest quantity ever reported.

Khanh Hoa: 43,200 MT of seafood harvested

(vasep.com.vn) As stated by the People’s Committee of Nha Trang, from January to early December, over 43,200 MT of marine fish was harvested, reporting a 5.2% increase from the same period last year. In November, due to unfavorable weather conditions, only 2,064 MT of marine fish was caught.
