(seafood.vasep.com.vn) In 2018, while Vietnam’s tuna exports to EU countries were unstable, exports to Portugal experienced the impressive growth. Currently, Portugal was put in top 10 single largest markets for Vietnamese tuna.

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) In April 2018, Vietnam's tuna exports to some major markets decreased. However, thanks to the good growth in exports to other large markets, total exports of Vietnamese tuna increased over the same period in 2017.

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) Vietnam’s seafood exports to the EU forecasted to drop owing to the impact of the yellow card. However, by the end of March 2018, Vietnam's tuna exports to the EU increased by 25% over the same period in 2017, reaching US$34.5 million.

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) In the first three months of 2018, Vietnam’s tuna exports totaled US$137 million, up 13% over the same period in 2017. Exports to most of major markets recorded the good growth from the same period last year.

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) In the first three months of 2018, Chile emerged as the potential tuna importing market of Vietnam. Vietnam's tuna exports to this market in this period reached nearly US$2.9 million, an increase of 125% over the same period in 2017.

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) In the first two months of 2018, Vietnam’s tuna exports to Canada decreased while those to Chile sharply increased by 191% over the same period last year.

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) In the first two months of 2018, Vietnam’s tuna exports to Germany reached US$5.46 million, up 58% over the same period last year. Currently, Germany stayed as the largest tuna importing market of Vietnam in Europe.

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) In 2017, Germany was the second largest export market of Vietnam’s tuna companies in the EU (behind Italy). Also in this year, tuna exports to this market increased remarkably from 24 to 238% over the same period last year.

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) In 2017, the export value of Vietnam tuna to Mexico increased by 61% over the previous year. In particular, exports to this market in many months increased sharply from 133 to 430% compared with 2016. In 2018, Mexico expected to continue being a potential importer of many Vietnamese tuna enterprises.

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) In 2017, Vietnam’s tuna exports reached US$592.8 million, up 16.3% over the previous year. The export value to most of large markets grew positively, except for Italy, Thailand and China.

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) In the first 11 months of 2017, Vietnam’s tuna exports hit US$541.5 million, up 18% over the same period last year. In particular, the export value to most of major importing markets grew positively. Exports of frozen tuna products (HS code 03) accounted for 54.2% of total export value and increased by 14% year on year. Notably, despite the smaller proportion, sales of processed tuna products (HS code 16) increased nearly 22.3% over the same period last year.

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) As of the first half of November 2017, Vietnam’s tuna exports to the EU reached US$123.2 million, up 31.8% over the same period last year. Exports to Germany and the recorded the good growth of 37.5% and 52.7%, respectively over the same period last year.

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) In the first 10 months of 2017, Vietnam’s tuna exports to the EU reached US$115.5 million, accounting for 23.7% of the total export value and increasing by 31.4% over the same period in 2016.

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) As of the first half of Oct 2017, Vietnam’s tuna exports to Mexico reached US$10.73 million, up 80.1% over the same period last year. In 2017, tuna exports to markets grew positively, in which sales to Israel and Mexico showed the highest growth.
