It is estimated that by the end of October, pangasius exports will bring in over $2.1 billion. In particular, in October 2022 alone, pangasius exports were estimated at US$159 million, up 16%.

By the end of October 2022, pangasius exports is forecast to earn nearly 2.2 billion USD in foreign currency, an increase of 80% compared to the same period in 2021. Of which, the Chinese market alone accounted for 30% with about 654 million USD, up 110%.

However, looking at the export performance in September, we can see that inflation has strongly hit all food and seafood industries, not excluding pangasius.

(seafood.vasep.com) Customs statistics show that Vietnam's pangasius exports in September 2022 reached 164 million USD, double that of the same period last year. In particular, exports to many markets such as China, Brazil, Thailand, England, the Netherlands, Australia, Singapore, etc increased by 2-3 times compared to the same period last year. Most impressive was exports to Germany in September 2022, increased 41 times over the same period and to Peru increased 17 times.

By the end of September 2022, Vietnam's pangasius exports to ASEAN countries are estimated at more than 152 million USD, accounting for nearly 8% of total pangasius exports.

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) Brazil is among the top 4 largest import markets of Vietnamese pangasius in the first 8 months of 2022. With over $64 million in imports, Brazil accounts for 3.6% of the total pangasius exports, behind China, the US and Mexico.

(seafood. vasep.com.vn) Pangasius exports in the first 8 months of this year reached 1.8 billion USD – an optimistic figure for businesses in this industry. Pangasius exports in the last 3 months have gradually dropped from the peak of 310 million USD in April, but have tended to recover since August.

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) By market, domestic revenue in August increased by 179% to 310 billion VND, the second largest contributor to Vinh Hoan (VHC)'s revenue after the US.

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) According to Vietnam Customs statistics, in the first 8 months of 2021, Vietnam pangasius exports reached over 1.8 billion USD, up 81% compared to the same period in 2021. In which, pangasius exports to the US accounted for 23%, equivalent to 421 million USD, an increase of 87%.

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) The UK is among the top 10 Vietnam’s seafood import markets, accounting for 3% of seafood export value. In the first 8 months of 2022, Vietnam seafood exports to the UK increased by 3.5% to 213 million USD, of which pangasius exports accounted for 47 million USD.

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee has just issued a plan to develop the pangasius industry until 2025. In which, 1,225 hectares of pangasius production will be produced in accordance with the GAP standard and export turnover will reach US$980 million per year.

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) Amicogen Nam Viet Co., Ltd continued to receive additional capital contribution of 38 billion VND from Navico, with the representative of capital contribution being Mr. Doan Toi and Mr. Le Minh Tuan.

In the first 7 months of 2022, pangasius exports to this market grew by 73%, reaching 73.5 million USD, accounting for 4.5% of Vietnam's pangasius exports.
