Cumulative exports for the first half of 2025 totaled 1.023 billion USD, up 11% from the same period in 2024. Despite a challenging global trade environment with ongoing risks, Vietnam’s pangasius exports recorded positive results in the first six months of 2025.

As of June 15th 2025, cumulative pangasius export value stood at 911 million USD, marking an 11% increase compared to the same period in 2024.

The Mekong Delta is Vietnam’s key region for pangasius production and export. Despite its advantages, the industry is currently facing numerous challenges such as unstable prices, rising input costs and increasingly strict requirements from international markets. In this context, strengthening the linkage between farmers and enterprises in both production and consumption is considered a strategic solution for the sustainable development of the pangasius sector.
