Vietfish 2019 opens in Ho Chi Minh City

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) The Vietnam Fisheries International Exhibition (Vietfish) 2019 hosted by VASEP officially opened at the Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center in Ho Chi Minh City on August 29 2019.

Vietfish 2019 gathered 340 booths from 15 countries (S.Korea, Japan, Germany, Singapore, Indonesia, China, Taiwan…Compared with 2018, the number of exhibitors has increased by 15%.

Themed “Asia’s Home of Seafood”, Vietfish 2019 is designed to connect producers in the fisheries sector with local and foreign firms, and provide a platform for businesses to learn and share their experience and update on new technologies in the field.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Phung Duc Tien, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, stated fishery is a spearhead sector that contributes significantly to the growth and export value of Vietnam’s agricultural industry. The exhibition is a channel for businesses to introduce products, promote brands and seek partners.

Within the framework of Vietfish 2019, there are also a number of meetings to exchange trade information between importers and exporters, including the delegation of Pakistani enterprises. At this meeting, Pakistani businesses wished to find importing and exporting partners. Currently, Pakistan mainly exports seafood to Asian countries, of which 12-16% are exported to Vietnam.

Coming to Vietfish 2019, visitors can also enjoy and try the high quality export seafood products of the seafood enterprises, along with hundreds of uniquely and impressively designed booths.

Within the framework of Vietfish 2019, on August 29-30, 2019, VASEP organized 6 conferences related to “hot” topics of fisheries industry with the participation of domestic and international experts.

The Exhibition will last 3 days from August 29 to 31, 2019.
