Trade with Israel surged 53 percent in H1
(vasep.com.vn) Through June 2014, trade between Vietnam and Israel increased significantly, reaching US$426 million, up 53 percent year-on-year. In which, Vietnam exported US$261 million worth of goods to Israel and imported US$165 million worth of goods from the country.
Main exported items of Vietnam to Israel included mobile phones and components, seafood products and footwear. Meanwhile, it mainly imported fertilizers, machinery and equipments from the country.
According to Ministry of Industry and Trade, Israel is considered a lucrative market for Vietnamese exporters, particularly in high technology. While Vietnam has the advantages of producing processed products, consumer products and agro-forestry and fishery products.
