Combat IUU Fishing

The European Commission (EC)'s unremoved yellow card warning is one of the major challenges for Vietnam's seafood exports.

On June 28, 2021, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development issued Decision 2840/QD-BNN-TCTS on the designation and publication of a list of seaports eligible for fishing vessels, transport and transshipment vessels of foreign-caught aquatic products landing at ports for import, temporary import for re-export, and transit of caught aquatic products through the Vietnamese territory.
