Tuna auction house to be built in Phu Yen
(vasep.com.vn) On 29 December 2014, Phu Yen People’s Committee announced their plan to construct a port and auction for tuna. The location is expected to be Area 6, Phu Dong in Tuy Hoa City.
The fishing port and tuna auction house will cover the area of approximately 1.4 hectares. The construction is expected to help fisheries industry in the province.
This is a part of the pilot project on tuna supply chain which would modernize tuna industry by 2020.
The project is carried out with 2 phrases. The first phrase, focusing on lending for 30 new fishing vessels, is expected to finish by June 2015. The second stage is from July 2015 to 2016, lending capital for 155 fishing vessels.
