Vietnam exporters seek potentials in the Middle East
(vasep.com.vn) The Middle East countries have demands for farm products, seafood, textile and wood, etc. These are main exported items of Vietnam. Besides, Vietnam also seeks to boost cooperation with the market in labour training, especially workers for the field of agriculture using high technology.
This information was given to Vietnamese businessmen by Director of the Ministry of Industry and Trade's African, West and South Asian Market Department Tran Quang Huy at a workshop on business opportunities in the Middle East in Ho Chi Minh City on April 18. He also mentioned payment risks with the Middle East importers because they are unfamiliar to L/C. Besides, Vietnam exporters should pay attention to cultural factors in business communication with Middle East businessmen.
Last year, Vietnam earned over US$6.6 billion from exports to the Middle East.
