(vasep.com.vn) On Jan 2nd 2014, Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP) held a meeting of its network in policy advocacy. 60 members of the association gave comments on the network.
VASEP’s advocacy activities focus on three main issues: Tariff-fee-customs; inspection on food safety and seafood quarantine; transportation and environment.
In three recent years, policy advocacy has become a main mission of the association. VASEP collects members’ petitions, submits their difficulties to competent authorities as well as contributes solutions for problems relating to unappropriate regulations on the industry.
To have further support for its members in 2014, VASEP will call its members’ involvement in the association’s lobby activities, especially in Tariff and Customs; Seafood Safety and Quarantine.
