Seafood exports expected to hit US$5.37 billion

(vasep.com.vn) In October 2013, Vietnam plans to export US$689 million worth of seafood products, bringing its total seafood export turnover over the first 10 months to US$5.37 billion, up 6 percent year-on-year, according to Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

During the period, the U.S. remains the largest importer of Vietnam seafood, accounting for 21.7 percent of the country's total seafood sales. Meanwhile, exports to China, Canada and Thailand also see encouraging growth. Exports to Australia, South Korea and Italy could drop in the period.
