National single window system in Vietnam

(vasep.com.vn) Vietnam Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) plans to undertake a pilot national single window (NSW) system in Vietnam in the coming time. The new system is welcomed by many Vietnamese enterprises to reduce the complexity of current administrative system.

The fishery industry is one of the key export sectors of Vietnam however, seafood processing and export enterprises have to deal with a large range of import-export procedures. Therefore, MARD’s implementation of single window system needs to be timely kicked off in order to facilitate import and export activities, reducing fees and time for administrative procedures.

A national single window system allows trading companies to declare information and documents in a standardized form at a single customs agency to complete all legal requirements concerning import, export and transit (regarding cargos, transport means and passengers.)

Information, which is clarified online, is submitted once directly to single customs agency.
