(vasep.com.vn) Hanoi is carrying out 11 projects on building infrastructure and techniques for aquaculture with total investment of VND1,420 billion.
The projects plan to be deployed mainly in its adjacent districts of Ung Hoa, Ba Vi.
Besides, the city guided farmers to shift ineffective rice planting areas into aquaculture areas. Accordingly, Hanoi’s total aquaculture area has increased by 2,700 hectares, driving intensive farming area to 7,000 hectares with productivity of 6.5 MT per hectare, 2 - 3 MT per hectare higher than extensive farming. Accordingly, farmers can earn VND280 – 300 million per hectare.
