Ca Mau exporters finding new markets for seafood

(vasep.com.vn) Ca Mau, a province in Mekong Delta, targets to reach US$1 billion of total seafood export value in 2013. To fulfill this, the province is taking strategic measures focusing on expanding seafood importing markets, solving financial difficulties. Among them, finding more markets for seafood products is considered as the top priority.

So far, Ca Mau has organized trips for local seafood exporters to participate in international seafood shows and promote their products in big markets like the U.S, the EU, China, and in some other potential markets such as India, Australia, South Korea, Japan, Russia and Middle East.

Ca Mau Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers says that Vietnamese seafood companies need to be more dynamic in production and trading activities. Besides traditional and big markets, they should develop new markets in order to improve the strength of Vietnamese products in the global market.
