China was the largest supplier of cephalopod for South Korea. South Korea's cephalopod imports from staple suppliers all slumped.

Coastal provinces across the country have ramped up the installation of vessel monitoring systems (VMS) in fishing ships as part of measures to combat illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing.

In the third quarter, exports to these three markets increased sharply by 68%, 13% and 45%. Therefore, exports to the EU grew by 35% in the third quarter and 8.6% in the first 9 months.
