(vasep.com.vn) According to Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Tra Vinh province, in August 2013, local fish farmers stocked 4,173 hectares and harvested 11,066 MT.
In the first 8 months of this year, the province had 47,994 hectares of fish farming area and harvested 52,698 MT, equating to 61.6 percent of yearly plan and increasing 11.6 percent from that of the same time of last year, in which clam output reached 20 thousand MT.
In August 2013, the province’s capture production reached 5,023 MT including 1,282 MT of shrimp. The figure cumulated to late August 2013 was 47,911 MT (8,467 MT of shrimp), equating to 76.3 percent of the yearly plan and increasing by 224 MT on par with that of the same period of 2012.
