Russia's frozen seafood imports climb 17.7%
Russia's imports of frozen seafood rose 17.7 percent in the first two months of this year, compared tothe same period in 2012, according to government statistics
The main suppliers are companies from Norway (30.8 percent) and Iceland (16.6 percent). Salmon (10.1 percent), mackerel (19.7 percent), herring (19.9 percent), and capelin (25.2 percent), were the most popular species imported. Imports of chilled salmon decreased by 22.7 percent.
