(vasep.com.vn) Da Nang is the first province having state budget to assist fishermen in renewal of offshore fishing boats.
Accordingly, the province planned to offer VND400 million to build fishing boats with capacity of 400CV – 600CV and VND600 million to fishing boats with capacity of 600CV – 800CV. Boats with capacity of more than 800CV will receive VND800 million.
Beneficiaries of this policy must be Da Nang-resided fishermen, which commit not to catch fish by damaged trawlers; have at least seven years operating in fisheries sector; and build new boats in Da Nang-based ship building facilities.
Da Nang is a logistics and wholesale seafood center in the Central Vietnam. The province has limited budget for developing infrastructure in order to enhance sustainable fisheries and local production chain.
