(VASEPNews) Baria-Vungtau Seafood Processing and Im-Ex Joint Stock Company (Baseafood) got advantages in business in the first two months of 2012, according the company’s leader.
60 – 70 percent of Baseafood’s raw material demand has been met, twofold higher than that of the same period of 2011 because supply of raw material was much higher than expected. Purchasing prices of raw material increased slightly.
So far, Baseafood has received enough orders to remain production until the end of June. It also plans to sign joint venture contracts with partners in order to produce more new products.
In first two months of the year, Baseafood shipped abroad 1,500 MT of products, earning US$4 million. In 2012, it expects to produce 10,000 MT of products, reaching US$25 million of export revenue and VND75 billion of annual turnover, up 15 percent from 2011.
