VASEP HIGHLIGHT – Dec. 2025: Crustaceans

In the first 11 months of 2025, Vietnam's crab exports reached $81 million, a 9% increase compared to the same period in 2024. Of this, the US market accounted for over 82%, equivalent to nearly $67 million, a 15% increase year-on-year. This overwhelming concentration indicates that the U.S dominates Vietnam's crab exports but also places the industry at high risk due to policy changes in this market. In November 2025 alone, crab exports reached nearly $10 million, with the U.S accounting for over 86% of the export value, a 17% increase compared to the same period in 2024.
