(pangasius-vietnam.com) On 4th September, 2013, The U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC) has issued the preliminary results of the ninth antidumping duty administrative reviews (POR9) on certain frozen pangasius fillets imported from Vietnam. The period of review (POR) is August 1, 2011 through July 31, 2012. In its preliminary decision, DOC imposed an antidumping duty of US$0.42 per kilogram and US$2.15 per kilogram to two mandatory respondents. Other separate rate respondents have to pay US$0.99 per kilogram.

(pangasius-vietnam.com) Between January and July 2013, Vietnam pangasius exports totaled US$985.09 million, down 0.6 percent against the compatible period of 2012. Pangasius products were sent to 137 countries and territories, compares to 130 markets registered in the previous year. The eight leading fish importers, including the U.S., the EU, ASEAN, Brazil, Mexico, China, Saudi Arabia and Colombia, represented 76.5 percent of overall export value. Shipments to the EU and Saudi Arabia were on the downtrend. Exported prices dealt with American and European buyers have been increasing since April due to higher demands.
