The Binh Dinh Marine Essence Festival 2024, themed 'Binh Dinh - Sea Aspiration,' will take place from July 11th to 15th.

The Binh Dinh Marine Essence Festival 2024 with the theme "Binh Dinh - Sea Aspiration" is a cultural, tourism, and culinary event that will be held for the first time in Quy Nhon City (Binh Dinh) from July 11th to 15th. This event is part of the summer tourism activities in 2024 organized by Binh Dinh province, spanning from June to August 2024.

Before the opening ceremony of the Binh Dinh Marine Essence Festival 2024 at Nguyen Tat Thanh Square (Quy Nhon City) at 8:00 PM on July 11th, there will be a seminar on the development, processing, and promotion of ocean tuna trade in Binh Dinh province held at the Provincial Conference Center on the same morning.

During the festival, Binh Dinh will showcase the butchering of ocean tuna, introducing the culinary art of Binh Dinh ocean tuna with flavours from Europe, Japan, and Vietnam. Additionally, 1,500 free meals will be served throughout the festival period for visitors to enjoy.

Alongside these activities, the "Delicacies from the Sea" food fair and Binh Dinh's One Commune One Product (OCOP) products will open on July 11th and run until July 15th at the Children's Park.

Furthermore, the festival features cultural and artistic activities such as the "Binh Dinh Welcomes Summer" themed street festival with the participation of the Festival's Communication Ambassador, Miss Thu Uyên - Miss Ocean Vietnam 2023, along with famous singers and dance groups. There will also be performances of traditional arts including Boi singing, Bai Choi singing, traditional martial arts, and Cham dance.

Through this festival, Binh Dinh's ocean tuna brand and image are promoted and accessible to domestic and international consumers, contributing to the development, processing, and promotion of the Binh Dinh ocean tuna trade.

Cumulatively for the first two months of the year, shrimp export value totaled USD 690 million, an increase of 20% compared with the same period last year. Compared with the 22% growth recorded in January, the pace of increase in February slowed somewhat, reflecting seasonal factors as the Lunar New Year holiday partially disrupted processing and shipment activities. Nevertheless, the nearly 20% growth in the first two months indicates that shrimp orders from Vietnam are maintaining a more positive trend than in the same period last year.

Seafood exports in February 2026 slow down, brighter outlook expected in March

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) Vietnam’s seafood exports in February 2026 reached approximately USD 707 million, up 8% compared to the same period last year. Cumulatively, exports in the first two months of 2026 totaled USD 1.7 billion, an increase of 20.2% year-on-year. The results show that the sector’s recovery momentum has remained relatively solid following strong growth in January, although the pace slowed noticeably in February for several key products and major markets. Within the overall picture, shrimp continues to be the largest pillar, pangasius rebounds strongly, while tuna exports and the U.S. and Korean markets are sending signals that warrant closer monitoring. In March, seafood exports are expected to gain additional momentum from markets other than the U.S., potentially supporting stronger growth.
