Prices: On Mercabarna, during week 18, prices of shrimp HLSO declined by EUR 0.47/kg, frozen South American shrimp by EUR 0.13/kg and fresh shrimp by EUR 0.09/kg. Those for the rest of the species remained stable.

Exports: According to Thai Customs, in March 2014, total exports of shrimp (except those of fresh water), in all products, reached 9,667.4 tonnes, worth over USD 127.3 million FOB, corrected currency.

Market: During week 17 there was a slight rise in domestic consumption of shrimp and prawn in Japan, both for the traditional consumption of summer/spring as the proximity of the Golden Week.
Inventories: On Mercabarna, incoming volumes of shrimp and prawn declined by 350 kg during week 16. The most important drops were those of frozen shrimp and frozen South American shrimp HLSO. The most significant rise was reported by frozen Tunisian shrimp.

Market: During week 14, the US market of shrimp and prawn changed slightly.
Exports: Peruvian Customs informed that in February 2014 exports of HOSO, PUD and HLSO frozen shrimp reached 360.5 tonnes, worth over USD 3.5 million FOB, down 77% in volume and 79% in FOB value on those of the previous month.

Inventories: On Mercabarna, during week 15, incoming volumes of shrimp HLSO increased. Those of frozen South American shrimp and frozen prawn stayed the same. Those of fresh shrimp, frozen white prawn and frozen Tunisian shrimp dropped.
Spain: On Mercabarna, incoming volumes increased by 6 tonnes during week 14. The most important declines were those in fresh squid and fresh octopus. The most important increases were those in frozen dirty cuttlefish, frozen crushed clean cuttlefish, frozen national squid and frozen Indian squid.
