Những yếu tố tích cực<br><br>Vì tổng nguồn cung tôm cho thị trường Mỹ không quá dồi dào nên giá bán buôn các mặt hàng tôm hiện nay đang ở mức khá tốt. Hiện đang có một số giá chào hàng từ các nhà cung cấp, nguồn giá mà tôi (John Filose – PV) đưa ra dưới đây dựa theo giá các nhà nhập khẩu đang chào cho các nhà phân phối khu vực và địa phương (giá lưu kho công, FOB). Những mức giá này là giá tôm thẻ chân trắng nuôi và chỉ là giá tham chiếu thị trường, không được sử dụng để quyết định mua bán trên thị trường.<br><br>Các mức giá bán buôn đang chào trên thị trường hiện tại đều ở mức tương đối cao và ổn định, một tín hiệu tích cực so với khuynh hướng giá giảm và biến động mạnh trong những năm trước đây.<br>Yếu tố tiêu cực<br><br>Trong báo cáo cuối tháng 8/2011, tôi đã từng nhắc đến việc thị trường tôm Mỹ đang chuyển đổi nhanh chóng từ thị trường của người bán sang thị trường của người mua. Tháng 3/2011, tại Hội chợ Thủy sản Boston (Mỹ), hầu hết các buổi thuyết trình sản phẩm trong Hội chợ đều thiếu sản phẩm tôm trưng bày ở nhiều kích cỡ. Đồng thời với sự phục hồi chậm chạp của kinh tế theo như đánh giá của một số chuyên gia đã khiến người tiêu dùng có tâm lý quay trở lại với các sản phẩm truyền thống. Bên cạnh đó, các giao dịch chủ yếu chốt giá ở mức giá chào mà không có bất cứ khoản chiết khấu nào. Điều này là một trong những tín hiệu cho thấy, có sự tăng lên về cầu nghĩa có thể sẽ xảy ra thiếu hụt nguồn cung và đẩy giá tôm bán buôn tăng cao.<br><br>Tuy nhiên hiện nay, tất cả các chỉ báo chính của nền kinh tế vẫn nằm trong khuynh hướng giảm, do vậy, nhu cầu tiêu dùng với mặt hàng tôm không tăng lên. Hiện các nhà giao dịch đang bắt đầu tăng cường kho dự trữ tại Mỹ.<br><br>Và những tín hiệu xấu<br><br>Sau nhiều năm làm việc trong ngành thủy sản, tôi cho rằng tiêu dùng tôm chủ yếu dựa vào hai yếu tố chính là tiêu dùng khả dụng và niềm tin của người tiêu dùng, nhưng hiện cả hai yếu tố này đang trong tình trạng xấu.<br><br>Rất nhiều người tiêu dùng trung lưu, những người tiêu dùng cuối cùng chính của mặt hàng tôm, hiện đang trong tình trạng khó khăn về tài chính và mất niềm tin vào nền kinh tế. Tôm về cơ bản vẫn là một mặt hàng thực phẩm cao cấp, chỉ còn ít người tiêu dùng ghé vào các siêu thị mỗi tuần. Hiện, tiêu dùng tôm bắt đầu phụ thuộc lớn vào những dịch vụ ăn uống ngoài gia đình. Khoảng 60% doanh thu từ mặt hàng tôm là tại các nhà hàng hoặc khách sạn. Tuy nhiên, cả hai khu vực này thực tế chưa thực sự hồi phục kể từ suy thoái kinh tế năm 2008. <br><br><div align="center"><img src="/VasepPortalAdmin/pic/TradePromotion/PicTradePromotionAssociated/z300-Thuy%20san%20Viet%20Nam769.jpg" alt="z300-Thuy san Viet Nam769.jpg" width="430" height="477" border="0"><br></div>Kết luận<br>Về cơ bản, tôi vẫn lạc quan và tin rằng Mỹ sẽ vượt qua giai đoạn kinh tế khó khăn này. Tuy nhiên, cho đến nay, giá tôm bán buôn vẫn gây lo ngại và rủi ro giá xuống vẫn cao hơn khả năng giá tăng. Một số diễn biến trong tương lai có thể giữ giá tôm bán buôn ở mức hoặc gần mức hiện tại. <br>
