Currently, Thailand and Malaysia are the two major importers of Vietnam cephalopod in the region. In particular, shipments to Thailand picked up the proportion of 77% of Vietnam’s total cephalopod exports to ASEAN and exports to the market are on the upward trend. In the first 7 months of this year, Vietnam’s cephalopod sales to Thailand amounted to US$29 million, up 34% from a year before.
In addition, according to ITC statistics, Thailand was also the biggest buyer of cephalopod in ASEAN.
