(vasep.com.vn) On March 15th 2013, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) has issued the Circular No.19/2013/TT-BNNPTNT: Guiding to use energy economically and efficiently in agricultural production.
The Circular is applied to organizations, households, individuals that are involved in agriculture, forestry, irrigation, fishery and salt production.
Accordingly, methods of saving energy in aquaculture are as follows:
1. Study, select and popularize aquatic seed with good quality, high productivity; improve farming techniques to increase feed conversion ratio.
2. Reduce nimiety of feed in the process of feeding fish; control diseases; ensure conditions of hygiene and food safety.
3. Set up and popularize water-saving model of fish farming; expand integrated culture models (rotation, poly-culture, use of integrated aquaculture based on trophic levels, fish farm combined with models of garden - pond – barn)
4. Apply new friendly environment technologies in renovating farming ponds (use aquatic plants for water treatment or use recirculation aquaculture system to reduce water usage in farming ponds.
5. Use of renewable energy (wind energy, solar energy) in farming systems.
The Circular will take effect since May 1st 2013
