(vasep.com.vn) Vietnam shrimp exports in May 2014 continued the sharp increase, particularly exports to the U.S. surpassed sales to Japan and EU.

Light increase in imported frozen

(vasep.com.vn) In May 2014, domestic shrimp prices downed 15-20 percent from those in March. However, in the early June 2014, shrimp prices rose 5-10 percent because of rising shrimp demand from global markets, according to Ngoc Tri Seafood Company (Ngoc Tri Seafood).

(vasep.com.vn) Nhat Duc Co., Ltd sent 70 percent of its total shrimp exports to EU through June 2014. Of the company's total shrimp sales, black tiger shrimp accounted for 40 percent and the remaining was the whiteleg shrimp.
