In QIII/2017, sales to this market grew by 85% to hit US$2.9 million. The figure in the first 9 months of this year estimated at US$6.5 million, up 92.4% over the same period in 2016. Israel currently held as the largest buyer of Vietnam cephalopod, accounting for 1.4% in Vietnam's total exports to markets.

As of Sep 2017, the figure totaled US$457.9 million, up 53.5% over the same period last year. Exports to top 9 major markets recorded the good growth over the same period in 2016. Supplies increased thanks to a rise in production and export volume, along with the flexibility of exporters in adjusting the structure of production and markets.

In the first 7 months of this year, cephalopod imports into France from Vietnam reported the impressive growth of 274% to eye US$6.1 million.

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) As of July 2017, Vietnam’s cephalopod exports totaled US$333 million, up 63% over the same period last year. In the period, exports of squid took up the main share of over 60% in Vietnam’s total export value while those of octopus accounted for 40%.

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) Staying as the 7th largest octopus importing market of Vietnam, Taiwan currently increased imports of the item from Vietnam. Meanwhile, the country reduced those of this product from other countries.

The figure in the first half of 2017 amounted to US$3.6 million, rising by 99% over the same period in 2016. With this growth rate, Israel held as the 6th largest buyer of Vietnam cephalopod.

In the first half of 2017, Vietnam’s cephalopod exports to the market amounted to US$95 million, up 40.5% over the same period last year. South Korea kept as the biggest importer of Vietnam cephalopod, representing 35% of Vietnam cephalopod sales.

Vietnam’s total cephalopod exports to the EU in the first half of the year hit US$51.5 million, up 101.6% over the same period in 2016.

Therefore, the exports in the first 6 months of 2017 amounted to US$269 million, an increase of 50% over the same period in 2016.

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) The Netherlands held as the 3rd largest importing market of Vietnam cephalopod in the EU, accounting for 1.3% of Vietnam's cephalopod exports.

In the first 7 months of this year, cephalopod imports into France from Vietnam reported the impressive growth of 274% to eye US$6.1 million.

According to the statistics from Vietnam Customs, Vietnam’s cephalopod exports to ASEAN in the first 7 months of this year totaled US$38 million, an increase of 40% over the same period in 2016. This was the 4th largest importer of Vietnam cephalopod.
