According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, after 10 years of implementing the Fisheries Development Strategy to 2020, it shows that in the 2010-2019 period, the GDP structure of the fishery sector in the entire agricultural sector rose from 17.8 % to 24.4%.
Seafood export turnover hiked from US$5 billion to US$8.6 billion, equivalent to 1.7% of the total export turnover of the country and 20.8% of the agricultural export turnover.
