More than 130 seafood businesses from around the globe, including Vietnam attended the Seoul Seafood Show 2015 from April 15 to April 17 to introduce seafood processing products and services.

The three-day event featured technological procedures in the areas of aquaculture, processing, packaging, preservation and food safety and hygiene.

Workshops were also held during the event to exchange the state-of-the-art- technological standards in the field of seafood processing.

Vietnamese seafood business representatives said the event gave local businesses a good chance to promote their advantageous products and seek Korean partners to further integrate into a new potential market.

According to Vietnam’s trade office in the Republic of Korea, last year Vietnam’s seafood exports to the RoK increased roughly 28% to US$652 million. The RoK is currently Vietnam’s third largest seafood importer after the US and Japan.
