VND 15,000 billion available for loans on aquaculture development
(vasep.com.vn) On 25th August 2014, Decree No. 67/2014 / ND-CP on fisheries development policy officially takes effect. Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) decided to deploy a credit program valued at VND 15,000 billion for the period of 2014-2017 to support aquaculture development.
Accordingly, BIDV will offer loans for construction or upgrades of offshore fishing vessels as well as logistics supporting fisheries. Working capital loans are offered for fishing and logistics for offshore fishing. Short-term loans are for construction of ships. BT (build-transfer) project loans, advance cash for aquaculture development programs with state budget layout and lending for aquaculture projects, seed production, processing and incrementing seafood processing capacity projects are also offered.
