Ho Chi Minh City – Vietnam Cleaner Production Centre (VNCPC), Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP) and other partners on August 2nd 2013 launched a new project entitled “Establishing a Sustainable Pangasius Supply Chain in Vietnam" (SUPA). The project is worth of 2.4 million euro, of which the European Union finances 1.9 million Euro under the EU SWITCH-Asia Programme. Now, catfish is at the heart of a dispute as the House and Senate prepare to work out their differences on a new five-year farm bill. The current bill expires on Sept. 30.
