(vasep.com.vn) Saigon Aquatic Products Trading Company (APT Co) has signed a contract to sell marine fish products with its own brand name in South Korea. It is also producing more value-added products like seafood rolling spring, shrimp dumpling, dried yellow stripe trevally and red tilapia to export to the EU, Japan, and South Korea. These are key items to bring the company high profits in sales.
APT aims to produce its key seafood through a complete production chain from “farm to table”. In 2013, the company sets plan to produce fish fingerlings and raw fish to prevent antibiotic residues in seafood products. It continues growing tilapia in the area of 50,000 square meters water surface in Tien Giang province.
The company also expands Cu Chi Fish Farm to over 26,000 square meters to boost hybrid catfish production in order to ensure supply for domestic market. Besides, it reduces raw fish export and invests in production of value-added products to gain more profits.
It is improving the quality of products and package designs to become a specialized food supplier in domestic market. Many products of APT are currently available in retail chain in Vietnam like Big C, Metro, Lotte, Co.op, Satra mart…The firm schedules to launch new fish sauce “Ban Viet” with traditional and delicious flavour, as well as boost sales of canned fish products with APT brand.
This year, APT continues to keep contracts with traditional partners from foreign markets. Currently, APT is seeking more partners in the U.S., Canada and the U.K to supply red tilapia and tilapia.
