(seafood.vasep.com.vn) Mekong Fisheries Joint Stock Company (Mekongfish Co.) announced its gross profit from sales of goods and services in QIII/2016 with VND5.3 billion, down from VND8.9 billion in the same period of 2015. The figure in Jan-Sep 2016 estimated at VND17.5 billion, down from VND24.1 billion in the same period of 2015.

There are some great reasons for optimism regarding expanding fish and seafood exports to the Russian market, says the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (Vasep).

The country’s seafood exports are expected to reach 7 billion USD this year, a year-on-year increase of 5.5 percent, according to the Vietnam Association of Seafood Producers and Exporters (Vasep).

The export value of agro-forestry-fishery products in the first ten months of this year reached 26.4 billion USD, a year-on-year increase of 6.3 percent, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
