Ngoc Tri Seafood: Shrimp exports gained US$50 million
(seafood.vasep.com.vn) In the first 9 months of this year, shrimp export turnover of Ngoc Tri Seafood joint stock company (Ngoc Tri Seafood) amounted to over US$50 million, equal to that in 2015.
Total shrimp exports of the company expected to hit US$80 million this year. Europe stays as the main importing market of shrimp products from Ngoc Tri Seafood. The company focused on promoting value-added products to this market. Shipments of these items to Europe remained stable, while those of traditional shrimp products such as whole shrimp or PTO shrimp slowed down due to high export prices.
This year, owing to low raw shrimp supply, especially black tiger shrimp, so prices of raw black tiger shrimp were 30-40% higher compared to last year.
