Ho Chi Minh City: Capture output up 14.4%

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) In the first 9 months of this year, fishery production of Ho Chi Minh city (Vietnam) estimated at 35,880 MT, down 3.3% over the same period last year.

In particular, capture volume reached 12,716 MT, up 14.4% year on year. Of that, finfish production accounted for 53.5%, up 59.7% and shrimp output made up 16.9%, down 34.5%.

Aquaculture production of the locality touched 23,164 MT, down 10.8%. In which, shrimp production posted a decrease of 5.7% and other aquatic products dropped by 2.8%.
