Live, fresh clam is the most imports into Japan in 2015, next is processed clam. Frozen clam exports reached the lowest value. In 2015, Japan’s frozen clam imports worth US$32.23 million, down 11% compared to 2014.

(vasep.com.vn) In the last 4 months, Vietnam crab exports decreased continuously. Crab export value in October was as much as 73.5% of that in same period in 2014. Total crab export value for the first 10 months of 2015 touched US$ 95 million, down 8% year on year.

According to Vietnam General Customs, through October, bivalve mollusk exports to Italy reached US$ 10.8 million, up 4% from the same period last year. In QIII/2015, surimi exports from Vietnam valued US$78.782 million, down 4.4% year on year. Through September, surimi exports reached US$217,8 million, up 5.7% year on year.

Italy is now Vietnam's second most favorite destination for bivalve molluscs in the EU, just after Portugal.

(vasep.com.vn) According to Vietnam General Customs, Vietnamese companies earned a total revenue of US$ 3.922 million from cephalopod exports to the US market in the first 8 months of this year. This represents an increase of nearly 33% over the same period of 2014. The US is one of Vietnam's biggest cephalopod importing market, after South Korea, Japan, EU, ASEAN, China and Hong Kong. In August only, cephalopod exports to the US worth US$ 1.04 million, up 134.2% year-on-year.

Processed clam is the major product that Vietnam sends here. Japan is Vietnam's second biggest importing market for this species, right after the EU. Exports to Japan represent 12.3% of total bivalve mollusk exports from Vietnam.

(vasep.com.vn) In May, Vietnamese bivalve companies earned US$ 7.27 million from exports, 6.6% lower than the same period in 2014. Through May, bivalve exports reached US$ 32.6 million, presenting a 4.2% year-on-year increase.
