(seafood.vasep.com.vn) On March 21st 2016, Ho Chi Minh city-based Seafood Joint Stock Company No.4 (Seapriexco No4 – HOSE: TS4) has organized its General Meeting of Shareholders successfully.
At the meeting, the company forecast that Vietnam pangasius exports will continue the downward trend in the coming time. The reasons are currencies fluctuation in some countries in the world, the anti-dumping duty, the USDA catfish inspection program and strong competition from other whitefish products.
In 2016, the revenue of Seapriexco No4 is expected to reach VND1,082 billion, up 5% compared to 2015; with pre-tax profit of VND12 billion; and dividend yield of 5%.
Raw pangasius price increased by VND3,000/kg in the last 3 weeks of Mar 2016. The company believes that pangasius price will continue to go up in the coming time.
However, higher price of pangasius will not affect the company’s business activities. The company has its own farms. Currently, the supply of raw pangasius produced by these farms is sufficient to meet demand of the company’s processing plants. With its own farms, the company can ensure the quality and size of raw pangasius.
In the past 7 years, no pangasius shipment of Seapriexco No4 to markets were returned.
