VASEP honored 10 excellent enterprises in the shrimp sector

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) On December 10, 2022 at the celebration of seafood export reaching 10 billion USD in Ho Chi Minh City, the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP) announced the list of 30 excellent enterprises in 2022, in which there are 10 shrimp export enterprises.

At the ceremony, Mr. Phung Duc Tien,  Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development and Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Minh - Former Deputy Minister of Fisheries, Honorary President of the Association presented flowers and medals to excellent export enterprises.

In the second half of 2022, businesses have to face many difficulties and challenges such as a decline in world market demand due to unprecedented global inflation, the Russia-Ukraine conflict, currency fluctuations, and high production cost, limited raw materials, limited capital to rotate production while facing strong competition from other suppliers. However, shrimp enterprises have always been proactive and flexible, turning challenges into opportunities to overcome challenges.

VASEP honored top 10 excellent enterprises in the shrimp sector in 2022

As of November 2022, Vietnam's shrimp exports have exceeded the shrimp export turnover of  2021, reaching more than 4 billion USD, up 14% over the same period in 2021. Although there are many challenges ahead, this result reflects the effort of the government agencies and enterprises in a year with many ups and downs. In 2022, it is estimated that shrimp exports will reach about 4.3 billion USD, up 10% compared to 2021.
