Sao Ta Food Joint Stock Company (FIMEX VN) has announced its estimated business results for 2021 - the highest in the company's 26-year history.
Specifically, according to preliminary data (with the merger of Khang An's member company), by the end of 2021, FMC's processed shrimp production reached 22,790 tons, up 12% compared to 2020. Shrimp consumption reached 18,370 tons. , an increase of 7% compared to 2020. Consumption of agricultural products reached 1,590 tons, equaling 132% compared to 2020.
The company's overall sales are estimated at 213 million USD, equivalent to more than 4,850 billion VND, equal to 112% compared to 2020. Profit is estimated at over 280 billion VND, an increase of over 15% compared to 2020 – This is the highest profit figure in 26 year history of the company.
FIMEX said that 2021 is the most successful year of shrimp farming in the company's 10-year history with shrimp, contributing to offset the company's processing segment in the past year.
FMC expects that right after Tet, shrimp farms will start stocking, starting a new crop. In which, there is an increase in farming area of 52 hectares, which is a project assigned by the People's Committee of Soc Trang province to Khang An member company.
Also this year, both newly built factories of FIMEX will come into operation, in which Tam An factory of Khang An member company specializes in processing mixed products, with new products to meet new needs of consumers.
According to estimates of Rong Viet Securities Company (VDSC), FMC's revenue and profit after tax in 2022 will reach VND 6,096 billion (up 22%) and VND 320 billion (up 26%). Expectations about the export market, plus two new processing plants coming into operation in 2022, will be the driving force behind FMC's profit after tax to grow by 26-30% in the period 2022-2023.
