The training includes: principles and methods of high-tech shrimp farming which is eco-friendly; reducing carbon emissions, adapting to climate change; food safety and sustainability; shrimp breeding and farming using bioflocs technology; super-intensive white-leg shrimp farming using CTU-RAS recirculating technology; water quality and environmental management of shrimp ponds; some common diseases and disease prevention solutions using herbs and microorganisms. In addition, there are discussions and sharing of practical experiences in shrimp farming among learners.
Ca Mau has a shrimp farming area of over 278,000 hectares; in which, intensive and super-intensive shrimp farming are over 6,500 hectares. In the past 3 years (2021, 2022, 2023), Ca Mau province annually exports over 230,000 tons of shrimp, with a turnover of over US$1 billion. Ca Mau shrimp are exported to 60 countries and territories, of which the main markets are the US, Japan, EU and China. Ca Mau's goal by 2030 is to achieve a seafood export turnover of US$1.65 billion, of which farmed shrimp is the main product and accounts for the majority of export turnover. To achieve the goal, organizing training to improve knowledge for intensive and super-intensive shrimp farmers is essential to gradually improve production efficiency, contributing to increasing farmed shrimp output as well as helping the shrimp industry develop sustainably.
(seafood.vasep.com.vn) In the Mekong Delta, key pangasius farming provinces such as An Giang, Dong Thap, and Can Tho are accelerating the transition toward a circular economy model, contributing to higher product value and reduced environmental impact. Instead of focusing solely on farming and processing, the pangasius value chain is increasingly utilizing by-products and waste streams to generate added value.

In 2025, scallop export value reached nearly USD 66 million, up 49% from USD 44 million in 2024. This result indicates a positive start for the sector, reflecting early signs of demand recovery in multiple markets from the beginning of the year.

In February alone, export value reached USD 8.4 million, up 148% year-on-year. Cumulatively, in the first two months of 2026, total tilapia export turnover hit USD 23 million, soaring 242% compared to the same period in 2025.

Issues such as filth, and signs of decomposition/spoilage are often detected through sensory evaluation methods and remain common reasons for seafood import alerts, detentions, or shipment rejections.
Shrimp has been the most important export product of Vietnam’s seafood industry for many years, typically accounting for 35–45% of the country’s total seafood export value. With a well-developed farming, processing, and export system, Vietnam has become one of the world’s leading shrimp exporters.

In the seafood sector, alongside ocean-caught products such as tuna, the surimi-based product group—including fish cakes, crab sticks, fish balls, and other imitation seafood products—has also been affected to some extent by these developments.
