(vasep.com.vn) Binh Dinh is holding the festival with the aim of promoting trade in tuna; introducing tuna cuisine associated with the Tuna Workshop; performing trimming and filleting tuna...

As a key product in Binh Dinh's fishery industry, each year, the province exploits more than 12,000 tons of ocean tuna, accounting for more than 50% of the country's tuna catch. Especially, in the first half of this year, Binh Dinh has caught 7,216 tons of tuna, up 4% over the same period last year.

The Binh Dinh Ocean Tuna Festival in 2022 includes the following contents: The opening ceremony introduces the potentials and strengths of Binh Dinh, the beauties and strengths in economic, cultural and tourism development... especially marine resources, marine cuisine, blue economy, marine tourism. In particular, the highlight of the festival is ocean tuna and Binh Dinh as a safe and friendly destination in the world.

The festival is expected to take place in mid-September, lasting for 4 days, focusing on promoting the potential and the strength in fishing, focusing on ocean tuna, discussing solutions to improve the production and the quality of Binh Dinh ocean tuna, culinary art performances with ocean tuna from famous chefs…

The Ocean Tuna Festival in 2022 is part of the plan of a series of tourism festivals in Binh Dinh. The objective of the festival is to promote the strength of ocean tuna of Binh Dinh, and at the same time create a highlight to attract tourists to Quy Nhon - Binh Dinh.

Therefore, the province plans to organize culinary performances from tuna, focusing on processing high-class dishes to make a difference for tourists. In addition, the festival is also organizing a workshop to find solutions to improve the quality of Binh Dinh ocean tuna, promote the product, and connect to find a consumer market for this key product.
