In the first half of 2022, the Vietnam seafood export industry broke many record milestones. The whole seafood industry has achieved 5.7 billion USD in foreign currency, an increase of nearly 40% compared to the same period in 2021. In which, the outstanding seafood with an incredible increase in export is pangasius with sales of 1.4 billion USD, increased by 82%. Shrimp exports still accounted for the highest proportion of 40% with nearly 2.3 billion USD. Marine products, despite difficulties in terms of raw materials, still maintained a growth rate of 12-55% over the same period, bringing in over 2 billion USD.
