At the annual General Assembly of shareholders held in early April, 2011, Board of Directors of Seanamico has approved construction of a modern seafood processing plant at Ham Rong commune, Nam Can district, Ca Mau with capacity of 15 MT of finished products per day. The total estimated capital for equipments of the plant is US$3.88 million. This plant is the most modern one of the company, Mr Nguyen Truong Giang - Chairman and Director of the company said.
In 2010, the company attained VND641.64 billion of turnover and VND8.99 billion of pre-tax profit, up 29.13 percent and 16.54 percent, respectively on that of 2009.
With the results achieved in 2010, the company decided to pay dividend of VND8.5 billion, equal to the rate of 17 percent of charter capital.
At the annual General Assembly of shareholders in 2011, Board of Directors of the company also approved to issue further 3 million of common shares to its current shareholders in the ratio of 5:3, increasing its charter capital from VND50 billion to VND80 billion with the offer price of VND13,000 per share. Its share issuance scheduled to be held in 2011.

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) The year 2026 marks a period of strong growth for Vietnam’s tilapia industry, but it is also a time when international export competition is becoming increasingly intense. Vietnam’s tilapia exports reached USD 99 million in 2025, up 140% compared to the previous year. In the first four months of 2026 alone, export value reached USD 49 million, a 151% increase year-on-year. As global demand for affordable whitefish continues to rise, Vietnam is emerging as a noteworthy competitor to traditional tilapia powerhouses such as China, Indonesia, Brazil, and Egypt.

The Middle East recorded strong growth, with Saudi Arabia emerging as the largest Asian market for Vietnamese tilapia. ASEAN markets also expanded significantly, driven primarily by Malaysia. Meanwhile, Japan maintained solid growth, while exports to South Korea declined compared to the same period in 2025.

In the past, these by-products were largely treated as waste, increasing production costs and posing potential environmental risks. However, thanks to advanced processing technologies, materials once considered waste are now being transformed into high-value products, creating a circular economy model within the seafood industry.

In the first four months of the year, total export turnover reached USD 720 million, up 17% compared to the same period last year.
