The plant was started construction in Oct 2015 on the area of 5 ha in Dong Thap province. It has the capacity of of 360,000 MT/year, with the total investment of over US$20 million. The plant will help Sao Mai Group hold initiative in raw material supply and control the quality of the finished products.
The plant will be designed with modern production line satisfying environment standards and international manufacture standards. It is expected to come into operation in Dec 2017 and creat jobs for over 1,000 workers in Dong Thap province and neighbouring provinces.
While the pangasius price sees the instability and seafood exports face challenges, Sao Mai Group always attachs much importance to the cooperation between farmers and enterprises. The close link between farmers and enterprises helps Sao Mai Group hold initiative in raw material supply, enhance the quality of finished products and stabilize the price of raw pangasius.
