Cumulative pangasius exports to this market as of June 15, 2024, reached 77 million USD, down 6% over the same period in 2023.

Even before the outbreak of Covid-19 in the EU, this market did not seem promising as exports fell to negative levels for several months in a row. However, a positive outlook for trade with this market starting is ahead for 2022.

In which, the top 5 markets include the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Italy and France, accounting for 72%. Exports of all major products to the EU grew positively, except pangasius. In which, clam exports grew the most, up 42% and became the 4th largest seafood species in terms of export value to the EU.
