Accordingly, there are 7 companies and 472 households developing high-tech agricultural models with an area of 1,126.26ha; The average yield of farmed shrimp is nearly 23 tons/ha.
Thus, up to now, the province has 23 companies and 650 households investing in super-intensive shrimp farming applying high technology. In which, the models of farming according to floating tank process, 2-stage process, super-intensive farming in closed houses... are encouraged by the province to replicate.
In 2020, the production of farmed shrimp in Bac Lieu province will reach 188 thousand tons. The province sets a plan in 2021 that shrimp output will reach 201 thousand tons, up 7%.
