(seafood.vasep.com.vn) In the first 10 months of 2018, pangasius export value to Middle Eastern market reached 130.8 million US$. In particular, as of the end of October 2018, exporting pangasius to the UAE market increased by 135.2% compared to the same period in 2017. In which, UAE; Egypt and Saudi Arabia are the three largest export markets of Vietnamese pangasius in the last 3 years within this region, with much more potential expected in the future.

The Vietnam Pangasius Association (VPA) will this year focus on improving quality and expanding export markets, its chairman has said.

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) In the first ten months of 2018, the export value of Vietnamese pangasius export to China - Hong Kong market reached US$437.9 million, up by 30.6% over the same period in 2017. Despite the slower pace of the the export growth rate, it is forecasted that by the end of the year, exporting pangasius to China is still stable with a double-digit growth rate.

(vasep.com.vn) Until September 2018, the total value of pangasius exports reached US$1.59 billion, with a rise of 22.6% compared to the same period last year. Especially for the 3rd quarter of 2018, pangasius exports to major markets witnessed positive changes.

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) In the first eight months of 2018, Vietnam’s total value of pangasius exports to Egypt reached US$24.2 million, up 34% over the same period last year. It remained as one of the three most important pangasius importing markets of Vietnamese pangasius in the Middle East.

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) By the end of August 2018, Vietnam’s pangasius exports reached US$1.41 billion, up 21.7% over the same period last year. Thanks to the growth of the export value to some big markets such as China - Hong Kong, the U.S, the EU, ASEAN, UAE, Colombia, total export value exceeded expectations.

The US is the largest export market of Vietnam, with export turnover hitting 39 billion USD in the first ten months of 2018, representing a year-on-year increase of 12.8 percent.

Vietnamese tra fish quality compatibility may be approved by the Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) under the US Department of Agriculture, though an official announcement has yet to be released, according to Truong Dinh Hoe, general secretary of the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP).

The domestic fishing industry should promote production of tra fish and shrimp by the end of this year to take advantage of the export potential of both commodities on the world market, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD).

Vietnam earned 369.1 million USD from exporting tra fish to the US in the first nine months of this year, up 42.9 percent year-on-year.

Tra fish export value is expected to exceed 2 billion USD this year, higher than the industry’s target, according to experts.

(seafood.vasep.com.vn) In the first seven months of 2018, Vietnam’s pangasius exports totaled US$1.198 billion, up 19.3% over the same period last year. In particular, the export value to the three largest markets including China - Hong Kong, the U.S and the EU posted the positive growth.
