On 30th November, 2010, in Soc Trang, Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP) and My Thanh Shrimp Association (MTSA) signed the action coordination agreement to produce healthy shrimps meeting demands for the species, quantity, size of shrimp, gaining the high efficiency in farming, production and export as well as share the shrimp value chain created by contribution parties .
Due to the continuous increase of Vietnam’s export shrimp consignments warned for infecting Trifluralin residues in Japan, Vietnam’s seafood export to this market is more difficult. At the end of November, 2010, VASEP and MTSA jointly organized a conference to introduce the model of activities aimed at strengthening the link between farmers and processors.
